The 2024 Next Gen ATP Finals runs from 18-22 December in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with the 2025 season just around the corner.
With Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Stefanos Tsitsipas among the winners of the six previous editions, the event featuring the top players in men's tennis aged 20 and under has quickly generated a glittering roll of honour.
Jeddah plays host for a second straight year with world number 20 Arthur Fils, who already has three ATP Tour titles to his name, headlining the field.
The Frenchman is set to be joined by Alex Michelsen (USA; pictured above), Jakub Mensik (CZE), Shang Juncheng (CHN), Learner Tien (USA), Luca van Assche (FRA), Nishesh Basavareddy (USA) and Joao Fonseca (BRA).
Each of Fils, Michelsen and van Assche are making their second consecutive appearance at the event, with Fils finishing runner-up to champion Hamad Medjedovic of Serbia in 2023.
Next Gen ATP Finals 2024: How it works
The eight-player field is broken into two groups of four, with each player contesting three round-robin matches. The top two players from each group advance into a knockout semi-final and final rounds.
The tournament has been an incubator for innovation in men's tennis since its inception, including electronic line-calling, shortened scoring format - matches are best of five sets but just to four games each - in-match coaching and more.
This year, the age eligibility was lowered from 21 to 20 years old.
Fils enters the event as the favourite with Michelsen (41), Mensik (48) and Shang (50) also ranked inside the world's top 50.
