Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal excited with NBA’s return
An LA Lakers fan, the Kartanka batsman can’t wait to see his side in action against the Clippers in the NBA opener.
It’s been close to 150 days since the superstars of the NBA wowed their fans with some high-octane basketball action.
But that agonizing wait is set to end on Thursday - Friday morning in India - with the New Orleans Pelicans facing the Utah Jazz at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
The opening night will also see the fourth edition of the ‘Battle of LA’ this season with the Lakers lining up against the Clippers. And the fans in India just can’t wait for the action to resume. You can see the matches live.
“I love the NBA,” Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal told NBA India. “And for a Lakers fan like me, there's nothing more exciting than an opening against the Clippers.”
Meanwhile, for the fan in TV star and VJ Rannvijay Singh, it’s a moment of sheer excitement and entertainment that he has been missing for about four months.
“I can’t express it in words. NBA restart is just what I needed to make work from home life exciting and cheerful,” said Rannvijay Singh.
“For fans like me, this hiatus was a very long break from the live basketball action. But it’s finally here. So it's time I get my NBA gear out and witness the groundbreaking season restart.”
