Reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo led from the front with 35 points and 11 rebounds in the Milwaukee Bucks’ comfortable 121-107 victory over Orlando Magic in Game 3 of basketball’s NBA playoffs.

The top-seeds from the Eastern Conference have now taken a 2-1 lead in the first-round series and will look to wrap it up in the next two games. The live streaming of this series will be available in India.

The Milwaukee Bucks had fallen in the first game of the NBA playoffs series against Orlando Magic but have been dominant in the subsequent games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has made the difference for the Bucks vs Magic in the NBA playoffs

‘Greek Freak’ Antetokounmpo, the favourite to retain the league MVP, scored his first eight shots in Game 3 and even inspired a return to form for his All-Star team-mate Khris Middleton, who finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Orlando Magic, meanwhile, will hope that Nikola Vucevic is in form to level the series. Vucevic, who made the All-Star team for the first time in 2019, had inspired Magic to victory in Game 1 against the Bucks and has upstaged Antetokounmpo’s points tally in two of the three games so far.

Other NBA playoff Highlights

Western Conference top-seeds Los Angeles Lakers took the lead for the first time against the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA playoffs series after a 116-108 victory in Game 3.

The legendary LeBron James took charge with 38 points and 12 rebounds while the in-form Anthony Davis scored 29 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lakers and Blazers will go head-to-head again in Game 4 and the latter will rely on Damian Lillard to get them back. Lillard managed 34 points despite playing with a dislocated index finger.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets saw their lead cut in half as the Oklahoma City Thunder forced over-time and eventually won 119-107 in Game 3 of the NBA playoff series and came back into it at 2-1.

It was a team effort from Thunder, but the star of the show was Chris Paul, who scored 26 points and six rebounds, to upstage James Harden’s game-high haul of 38 points.

Game 5 of the playoff series between the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday is expected to be the deciding game.
