Mixed doubles curling bronze medal re-attributed to Norwegian duo
Norway’s Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten were presented with bronze medals at the Medal Plaza on 24 February 2018, after third place in the mixed doubles curling competition at PyeongChang 2018 was officially re-attributed to the Norwegian pair.
IOC President Thomas Bach had welcomed them back to PyeongChang the previous day, when he met the duo at the Gangneung Curling Centre.
The decision to strip the Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR) pair Alexander Krushelnitsky and Anastasia Bryzgalov of the bronze followed a ruling by the Court of Abritration for Sport (CAS) on 22 February, which confirmed that Krushelnitsky had committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation.
