Italy won the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland Slovenia 2022 title on Sunday (11 September), defeating co-hosts and two-time defending champions Poland 3-1.

After dropping the first set 25-22, the European champions Italy came from behind with a vengeance. The Italians responded magnificently by storming back to win three consecutive sets (25-21, 25-18 and 25-20).

Brazil defeated co-hosts Slovenia earlier on Sunday to bring home the bronze medal, winning 3-1 (25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18).

The final day of action took place in the Polish city of Katowice.

2022 men's volleyball world championship: Olympic ranking points for Paris 2024 available

Ranking points earned during this tournament are counted towards qualification for the 2023 Olympic Qualifier Tournament, where several of the 12 berths available for men's teams at the Paris 2024 Olympics are due to be decided.
