Two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders will kickstart their Indian Premier League season against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

IPL champions in 2012 and 2014, KKR have reached the playoffs three times since their last title and were plagued by woes in the middle-order last season.

KKR, co-owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, have plugged that middle-order gap by bringing in England’s 2019 World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan for IPL 2020. His experience and explosive batting will be a big boost for captain Dinesh Karthik, who can also call on Andre Russell for runs in the death overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders have also brought in exciting additions in Australian Pat Cummins and young English opener Tom Banton to bolster the squad as they chase a third IPL title. The team has also roped in former Olympic sprinter, Chris Donaldson, as a strength and conditioning coach.

Up against KKR will be defending champions MI, who began IPL 2020 with a loss against the Chennai Super Kings in the opening fixture. Watch KKR vs MI on live streaming.

For MI captain Rohit Sharma, it will be an opportunity to set things right and build momentum for the rest of the season. He will be encouraged by the fact that MI have won 19 of their 25 matches against KKR over the years.

MI will be banking on skipper Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard to provide the runs while in Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult, they have two of the best bowlers in world cricket at the moment.

Rohit Sharma will want his bowlers to deliver in the KXIP vs MI match in IPL 2020.
