Singapore's Loh Kean Yew is the 10th seed at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 men's singles badminton tournament, which takes place from 27 July to 5 August.

Loh, the 2021 world champion, has been drawn into Group M in the competition.

He will face El Salvador's Uriel Canjura as well as Czech shuttler Jan Louda. The Singaporean has not faced either opponent before in a BWF World Tour tournament.

Should he win his group, he will qualify for the Round of 16 stage.

Three years ago at Tokyo 2020, Loh was unseeded and found himself in a tough group with Jonatan Christie, who narrowly beat him in a decider which eliminated the Singaporean. Now, he is favoured to progress through the draw.

Loh Kean Yew's full schedule at Paris 2024 Olympics

Loh will play his first match on the second day of the badminton competition in Paris on Sunday (28 July) in the men's singles group phase against Jan Louda of Czechia.

Men's singles competition in Paris begins on Saturday 27 July with group matches beginning at 11am.

Further group stage matches will take place from 28–31 July.

As Loh has been drawn into a group of three, he will play just two group matches. Should he win his group, he will progress to the Round of 16.

The medal matches take place on 5 August.
