It's the second Monday of the Games already and 5 August has a plethora of British athletes ready for action on Day 10 of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Keely Hodgkinson is favourite for the women's 800m title and hoping to break her silver-medal streak at World Championships and Olympic Games with top spot at the Stade de France.
Mixed triathlon will see Team GB defend their title from the inaugural Olympic showing of the discipline at Tokyo 2020, while the new thrash, bang, wallop canoe slalom event of kayak cross reaches its zenith with Joe Clarke, the two-time world champion in the men's event, and Kimberley Woods, the women's world gold medallist from 2023 wanting matching Olympic gongs.
And that just marks some of the events in an action-packed day for Team GB in Paris, with the track cyclists and sport climbers, including medal hopeful Toby Roberts in boulder and lead, looking to get their Olympic campaigns underway in style.

British athletes to watch on 5 August at Paris 2024: Keely Hodgkinson, Alex Yee, Beth Potter, and Joe Clarke
Silver in Tokyo in the women's 800m, silver at both the 2022 and 2023 World Championships, Team GB's Keely Hodgkinson is ready to move up a step at Paris 2024. Athing Mu, the gold medallist in Tokyo from Team USA, is absent after falling during the U.S. Olympic trials, but world champion Mary Moraa, who has the most incredible story, lines up for Kenya.
Securing a new national record of 1:54.61 at the London Diamond League athletics meeting the day before boarding the train to Paris on Sunday, 21 July, was quite the way to prepare. Securing the sixth-fastest time in history, the 22-year-old was sent off to France with the roar of the British crowd still ringing in her ears.
Two of the four who won Olympic gold in the inaugural Olympic triathlon mixed relay team last time out have returned. Alex Yee and Georgia Taylor-Brown are joined by Sam Dickinson and Beth Potter. Yee won a dramatic gold in the men's individual event in Paris on Wednesday (31 July) with Potter claiming bronze earilier in the day, eight years after competing in the 10,000m at Rio 2016.
But the Brits will have a tough task. The French team won't want anyone but themselves to be the first across the iconic Pont Alexandre III and into the finishing area, a perfect photo opportunity with the majestic Les Invalides as the backdrop. A strong Germany side also want that picture-perfect moment for themselves.
Joe Clarke, the three-time canoe slalom world champion in kayak cross, and Kimberley Woods, the 2023 world's best, are both eyeing gold in the new Olympic discipline at Paris 2024.
In both the men's and women's editions, four paddlers start together, dropping from a two-metre-high ramp before paddling like crazy, navigating slalom posts through frothing whitewater to reach the finish line first.
Clarke returns to the Olympics after missing Tokyo 2020, where he was unable to defend his individual title from Rio 2016.
