France's Antonin Guy made day four of the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024 one he will never forget after claiming a third gold medal in the men's 7.5km sprint biathlon event.

With his hat-trick of titles, Guy is now the first French athlete to win three gold medals at a single edition of the YOG, summer or winter. And there could be even more French delight with Guy to go again for gold in the mixed relay on Wednesday (24 January).

Another athlete adding to their medal collection was the Netherlands' Angel Daleman who claimed her second gold with victory in the women's 1500m speed skating event.

The Dutch skater took the women's 500m crown a day earlier and also took part in the short track events at the start of the Games.

Elsewhere, Italy won gold in the luge team relay competition to continue their dominance in the early events at the Alpensia Sliding Centre. It meant Italian lugers ended with 4 of the 5 gold on offer in the sport.

Luge also provided one of the day's record-breaking moments. Tunisia's Jonathan Lourimi won his country's first-ever Winter YOG medal after coming second in the men's event.

Tunisia had never before sent athletes to a Winter Youth Olympics until Gangwon 2024.

You can catch up on all the action from day four of Gangwon 2024 on Olympics.com and the official Olympics app, as well as all the events, medals and competitions still yet to come.
