From Mo Farah to Novak Djokovic: Who we're watching this weekend

ATHLETICS: Great North City Games
The athletics meet in the North of England will see Olympic champion Greg Rutherford compete for the last time. Britain's London 2012 long jump champ will retire after this event, sharing exclusively with the Olympic Channel:

Meanwhile fellow Brit Mo Farah is bidding to make history by winning Sunday's Great North Run for a fifth time, competing a shorter distance than the marathon he's aiming for at Tokyo 2020.
The four-time Olympic champion is expected to be pushed by a very competitive field featuring last year's runner-up Jake Roberson and 2017 London Marathon winner Daniel Wanijiru.
Two-time Commonwealth Games marathon champion Mike Shelley will also make his debut in the event as they all bid to dethrone Farah.
TENNIS: U.S Open
The stage is set for Olympic Champion Serena Williams to win her seventh singles title at Flushing Meadows. It's the second time the 36-year-old has made a Grand Slam final since becoming a mom, and Williams will be looking to do one better than she did at Wimbledon this July.
The experienced hand is set to take on budding star Naomi Osaka, who's making her Grand Slam final debut.
To put things in perspective, Osaka was merely one year old when Williams won her first Slam. She now has the honour of becoming the first Japanese woman in the Open era to reach the final of a Grand Slam.
The men's event will be contested by two Olympic medalists and former U.S. Open winners in Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin del Potro.
Wimbledon champion Djokovic continued his fine form by outclassing Japan's Kei Nishikori in the semis. The Serb will move to third on the all-time Grand Slam winners list if he is victorious in New York.
Del Potro advanced to the final when Rafa Nadal retired injured in their final-four clash.
