The 2023 FIBA World Cup, tipping off on 25 August, will be the 19th edition of basketball’s global showpiece event with 32 nations set to compete.
For the first time ever, this year’s tournament will have three host nations meaning matches being played across the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia. All roads will eventually lead to Manila which will stage the final on 10 September.
Since its inception in 1950, six countries have been crowned world champions with five-time winners United States leading the way for most tournament victories.
