Fencing: Japan's Kano Koki wins Olympic gold with dominant display in men's epee

Competing in front of a loud crowd at the Grand Palais, [**Kano Koki**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/koki-kano_1896548) of Japan won the Olympic gold medal in the [fencing](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/sports/fencing) men’s epee, beating France’s [**Yannick Borel**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/athlete/yannick-borel_1916194) 15-9 in the second day of action at the [**Grand Palais**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/venues/grand-palais) venue in [**Olympic Games Paris 2024**](https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024).
