12 sports will host their European Championships as part of this year’s European Games in Poland. Find out all of the details below. 

Which European Championships are taking place at the 2023 European Games?

The **European Games** take place in Krakow, Poland from **21 June to 2 July 2023** with 29 disciplines being competed in the capital of Poland and the surrounding areas.

Around **7,000 athletes** are due to take part with **48 different nations** battling for medals over the entirety of the 12-day competition.

While Olympic quotas and [Paris 2024](https://olympics.com/en/olympic-games/paris-2024) ranking points are on the line, **11 Olympic sports will also host their European Championships** at the Games - offering continental honours to the athletes involved.
