The All-around champion in the women’s competition, Italy’s Asia D’Amato is rehabbing an injury suffered at the 2022 edition but her compatriot and bronze medallist, Martina Maggio returns as does the silver medallist from Great Britain, Alice Kinsella.

The Italian side will defend their team title, while GB are aiming to go one better than their second-place finish last time out. Germany are aiming for another podium finish after bagging bronze in front of a jubilant home crowd in August.

All-around men’s champion and parallel bars gold medallist, Joe Fraser of Great Britain is absent but Türkiye’s duo of Ahmet Onder and Adem Asil will be supported in their all-around endeavours by the home crowd. The men’s squad will hope to go one, or even two, better in the team competition after claiming bronze in Munich but will face quite the challenge from defending champions Great Britain and silver-medallists Italy.

Just two champions from the 10 apparatus finals for women and men at the 2022 European Championships in Munich, Germany are missing in 2023. Fraser and high-bar title holder, Marios Georgiou of Cyprus, who are both rehabilitating injuries. The rest are back to defend their titles.
