Diving at Paris 2024 Olympics: Preview, full schedule and how to watch live
A maximum of 136 athletes will compete in diving at Olympic Games Paris 2024, from 27 July to 10 August.
It is one of several sports that will take place at the Olympics Aquatics Centre - one of only two permanent sports facilities built for the Games, using bio-sourced materials.
The two headline acts are the powerhouse People's Republic of China team, which boasts a plethora of world and Olympic champions, and the return of British Olympic champion Tom Daley for his fifth Olympic Games.
Below, we take a closer look at the diving stars to watch out for in Paris, a full schedule, and how to watch the action.
Diving stars to watch at Paris 2024 Olympics
China have landed a remarkable 27 from 32 possible Olympic gold medals since Beijing 2008, including all but one at Tokyo 2020. At the World Championships in Doha earlier this year, China won all eight of the events that will be competed in Paris.
Their top divers to keep an eye one are Wang Zongyuan, the men's 3m springboard favourite after winning three-consecutive world championships, and Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi, who have been the standout performers on the women's 10m platform this Olympic cycle. Quan, 17, won gold at Tokyo 2020, with 18-year-old Chen rebounding with back-to-back world championships before Quan reclaimed the top spot at this year’s worlds in Doha, Qatar.
Great Britain's Tom Daley and Matty Lee were responsible for winning the only non-Chinese gold in Tokyo, and will be hoping to defend their men's 10m syncro Olympic title in the French capital. GB legend Daley, 30, will be going for a fifth Olympic medal at his fifth Games.
Elsewhere, keep an eye on Mexico's Osmar Olvera, who has won multiple world medals on 3m springboard over this Olympic cycle.
