Tennis star Coco Gauff has revealed that she would love to share the court with the legendary Rafael Nadal.
In a recent interview, Gauff pondered which male counterpart would make a dream mixed doubles partner.
But he wasn’t the only option for the 20-year-old, who would equally be keen to play alongside fellow American Ben Shelton.
“For fun, I would just say Ben Shelton,” said Gauff, about her ‘dream’ partner, in an instagram post.
“But he’s not a dream, that could easily happen.”
In fact, the pair have discussed the possibility of it happening, as she revealed 21-year-old Shelton has already asked Gauff to share the court with him, but Team USA fans may have to wait a whlie longer to see that.
“I've got to focus on singles... It’ll happen one day, just not soon.”
But the 2023 US Open women's singles champion says Spanish legend Nadal would be the dream, although she isn’t the only one who would be vying to get him on side.
For now, though, her focus remains on the Indian Wells Masters, where Gauff takes on Belgium’s Elise Mertens in the Round of 16 on Wednesday (13 March).
