Chloe Kim has been named among TIME Magazine's 25 most influential teenagers of 2018.
The American won snowboard halfpipe gold at PyeongChang 2018, the youngest woman to win in snowboarding at an Olympic Winter Games.
She was recognised for that performance, with the citation in TIME noting that the 18-year-old was already guaranteed the gold medal by the time of her third and last run in Korea.
Kim has also won ESPN's Best Female Athlete award this year, in addition to being named on TIME's list of 100 most influential people.
Copper Mountain three-peat?
The TIME announcement came with Kim in pole position for a third consecutive U.S. Grand Prix title at Copper Mountain, after qualifying in first place.
She won at the Colorado resort in both 2016/17 and 2017/18, and was the only woman to post a qualifying score above 90 on Wednesday.
Hosts USA posted a 1-2-3 result in qualifying, with Maddie Mastro placing second and PyeongChang bronze medallist Arielle Gold making it through to Saturday's finals in third.
This is the first of five halfpipe events on this season's FIS Snowboard World Cup circuit.
In October, Kim became the first woman to land a frontside double cork 1080 when she accomplished the feat in training.
In simple terms, she completed three whole turns in the air — two vertical flips and one horizontal spin — spinning anti-clockwise.
