A packed arena at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 is not an unfamiliar sight.

Venues across Paris have welcomed millions of fans to witness the best athletes compete. But imagine it at an arena without live sporting action on display, yet with the same athletes, electric atmosphere and breathtaking views.

Despite hosting no sports, Champions Park is the place to be for any fans who want to enjoy the Olympic experience.

The site of the Opening Ceremony and in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, every day is a party at Paris’ perfect setting to celebrate its Olympic champions.

Champions Park, a party atmosphere every day

On the same path that Zinedine Zidane, Rafael Nadal and more took during the opening of the Games follow the victorious athletes of Paris 2024.

On Monday, 5 August, there was a very French feeling with the winners from France’s fantastic Friday present at the Trocadero. The judo mixed team brought out the numbers and packed the stands with a sea of tricolour flags, led by the towering Teddy Riner, who greeted fans and took plenty of selfies.

The home crowd brought a boisterous atmosphere, eager to see their heroes as they all danced together to classic fan-favourite songs. They were even more overjoyed by the arrival of the French BMX Racing 1-2-3, as gold medallist Joris Daudet coolly wheeled his race-winning bike down the champions’ path.

One of the biggest receptions was not even for a French athlete, rather the global tennis superstar that is Novak Djokovic.

Fresh off his first gold medal won the day before at Roland Garros, the Serb was delighted to be in the glaring Parisian sun with thousands coming out to see him. “Winning the Olympics is the pinnacle of an athlete’s career,” the 24-time Grand Slam champion told the adoring crowd.

Champions Park makes its debut in Paris

If you have not heard of the Champions Park before, that is to be expected; this is the first time such a celebration has been held at the Olympic Games.

It is open every day, no tickets required and, best of all, completely free to attend. Where else can you see Olympic medallists come together to celebrate their superb feats in front of the Eiffel Tower and amongst 13,000 fans?

Perhaps that is the best part. Watching Olympians from different nations and sports celebrate on the same stage, all uniting and applauding each other’s achievements.

Even better is watching how they celebrate.

The French judo team danced together on stage, rowers from Great Britain and New Zealand joined to form a conga line on to the stage – not to mention the spontaneous singalongs transcending any language barriers.

The Olympic spirit in an iconic location

When the weather is good, there is no better place to be. Not a cloud in the sky with the shining Parisian sun out to commend the stars of the show.

Once the athletes have left, the show does not stop there. Champions Park shows the best action of the day, all day, providing the perfect location to watch some of the biggest events iwhile in sight of some of the most stunning sights Paris has to offer.

Everything about it embodies the Olympic spirit, with friendship, unity and peace on display, all happy and proud to come together in the name of sport.

The festivities across Paris all lead to the runway of Champions Park, the best place to go to see Olympic champions and feel the atmosphere of Paris 2024.
