24 hours of non-stop culture, in Paris and throughout the Île-de-France region

Are you an early riser looking to stretch your legs? Head to the Parc de la Villette, in Club France, to discover the twenty ephemeral pavilions designed and built by the national schools of architecture in association with French sports federations. These Archi Folies will interact with those installed at the Philharmonie, the Trabendo, the Zénith...

Just a few more strides to reach the music tree supported by Kylian Mbappé's association. Installed at the Cité de la Musique, Symfolia is a monumental organic sculpture made of paper and named after the largest tree in the world. Artist Rachel Marks involved almost 20,000 children!

Continue your stroll to Le Centquatre and take part in the artistic Decathlon offered by this flagship establishment in northern Paris. Shared emotions and collective performances guaranteed!

The rest of the program takes you to the heart of Paris. A visit to the Louvre is a must. Myron's Discobolus, the Bréal Cup, treasures from Marathon and Olympia... the world's largest museum is hosting a special exhibition featuring some of the rarest items from Olympic history.

From one monument to another! Welcome to the piazza at the Centre Pompidou for a celebration of contemporary art, skateboarding and Raphaël Zarka's cycloidal ramp.

Coming for the Paralympics? Then start and end your stay with culture. At the Parc de Saint-Cloud, just a few days before the Paralympic Games, come and experience the exceptional edition of Rock en Seine, with the world's greatest artists taking to the stage for a special Games day on August 25; at the Panthéon, visit an exhibition devoted to the struggle for Paralympism, from its earliest beginnings; at the Théâtre du Châtelet, echoing the closing of this 17th edition of the Paralympic Games, for a major concert entitled Laissez-nous danser on September 7 and 8, bringing together professional dancers, apprentices and amateurs, disabled athletes... or not!

Top 10 Olympiade Culturelle: a plunge into the crossroads of art and sport

1. L'Avant-Jeux, a foretaste of Olympia... culture: 3 days of programming at Olympia (June 22, 23, 24), featuring dance and circus shows, chessboxing demonstrations, multiple performances including apnea in an Olympia pool, conferences and other surprises. With Ibrahim Maalouf and Bob Beamon as guests, among others.

2. Vibrate to the sounds of collective emotions from the stadium... to the Opéra: One day only - July 1 - to experience the phenomenon of "Crowd Out", a composition by David Lang - set to music by Fayçal Karoui and movement by Dimitri Chamblas. The sounds of the stadium and the vocal and expressive power of 1,000 choristers will help liberate "a mass of untrained voices".

3. Take part in unique artistic performances in the Champions Park: all fortnight long, at 5.30pm (3pm on August 9 and 10), discover "Défilé" by Angelin Preljocaj, a leading figure in French contemporary dance and internationally renowned choreographer, with 40 dancers from his company. Other surprises include "Paris Sports Ball", the first ball voguing event in the history of the Games, in collaboration with the Gaité Lyrique, and the hip-hop parade by Mourad Merzouki, an emblematic choreographer on the French scene, with 30 dancers. 4. Be moved in Marseille by the "Des exploits, des chefs-d'oeuvre" exhibitions, from April 26 to September 8, featuring Pierre Soulages, Raoul De Keyser, Brian Jungen, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Elina Brotherus. More than 195 Cultural Olympiad projects in Marseilles.

5. Celebrating women in sport in Nice: the surprising and mythical "Les Elles des Jeux" exhibition at the Musée du Sport, presided over by Vincent Duluc. A feminist experience to (re)discover the place of women within the Olympic movement, between slaloming against prejudice and dribbling through prohibitions. 130 years, from exclusion from the Olympic movement at the end of the 19th century to full parity in Paris in 2024. On view until November 6.

6. Putting the body to the test with La mécanique de l'exploit, at the Musée d'art et d'histoire Paul Eluard in Saint-Denis (93). This exhibition, which can only be visited during the Games, shows the emancipating power of sport, through citizen-bodies linked to a nation that are also individual bodies, from Antiquity to the present day. Visual arts and dance punctuate an exhibition that runs from May 24 to November 25, 2024 (10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) at 5:30 p.m. All publics, €5 and reductions.

7. Vibrate with Kylian Mbappé's music tree. Installed at the CIté de la Musique, Symfolia is a monumental organic sculpture made of paper and named after the largest tree in the world. Artist Rachel Marks proposed this "tree of scores" made from recycled or reclaimed materials, involving almost 20,000 children who all contributed, over a period of almost twenty months. The project is part of the COEUR program ("Creation of ephemeral works uniting dreams") run by the Inspired by KM association, chaired by Kylian Mbappé. A poetic and sonic experience. On view until September 8.

8. Collecting Olympic medals at the Musée de la Monnaie... with an exhibition devoted to the art and history of the Olympic medal, from the end of the 19th century to the present day, celebrating the speed of the gesture and objects for eternity. On view until September 22.

9. Discover how Olympism created modern marketing... with the exhibition "L'Olympisme.Une invention moderne, un héritage antique" at the Musée du Louvre. Thanks to the Louvre's Department of Etruscan, Greek and Roman Antiquities, in partnership with the École française d'Athènes, an exhibition highlighting the works that influenced Coubertin, such as the Bréa cup or Myron's discobolus. On view until September 16.

10. Aiming high in Châteauroux with two free, never-before-seen exhibitions: the first, L'exposition des affiches artistiques de Paris 2024, takes place at the city's Centres sociaux, until October 31, 2024. The second, Tirs.Cibles.Impacts. dedicates the notions of shooting, target and impact through paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, drawings and videos. 15 artists are represented, including Marina Abramović ,Chantal Fontvieille or Niki de Saint-Phalle. From June 8 to September 15, 2024, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Couvent des Cordeliers, Châteauroux.
