The draw for the FIBA World Cup took place in the Filipino capital Manila on 29 April.
Luis Scola, Jorge Garbajosa and Dirk Nowitzki helped make the draw where holders Spain were placed in Group G alongside Islamic Republic of Iran, Cote d'Ivoire and Brazil.
Team USA is in Group C with Jordan, New Zealand and Greece who are playing without two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Philippines, Japan and Indonesia - who failed to qualify - will co-host the tournament which begins on 25 August and ends on 10 September with the final taking place in Manila's Mall of Asia Arena.
Host venues were able to select teams to be pre-allocated to groups. That saw Philippines in Group A in Manila's Araneta Coliseum and the United States in Group C in the Mall of Asia Area.
Japan and Luka Doncic's Slovenia were selected to Groups E and F respectively in Okinawa, Japan with Canada in Group H in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.

The winners of each semi-final fixture will face off in the FIBA World Cup final on Sunday 10 September in Manila's Mall of Asia Arena with a start-time of 12:40 (UTC).
The runners-up of each semi-final will play each earlier that day at 08:30 (UTC) in the Mall of Asia Arena as well.

Action will be available to watch in selected territories via FIBA's streaming service Courtside 1891 Basketball.
In Spain, the national network RTVE are the rights holders with Sportsnet screening the games in Canada.
All games will be available on ESPN2 or ESPN+ in the United States.
