ATK Mohun Bagan will clash with Maziya Sports and Recreation Club in their second Group D match of the AFC Cup 2021 at the National Football Stadium in Malé, Maldives on Saturday.
Goals from Roy Krishna and Subhasish Bose gave the Mariners a 2-0 win over Bengaluru FC in the Group D opener on Wednesday.
ATK Mohun Bagan looked menacing on the attack against BFC with new recruit Hugo Boumous and David Williams combining well to complement star striker Krishna.
Meanwhile, Maziya went down 2-0 to Bangladesh club Bashundhara Kings in their first match, and will have to beat ATK Mohun Bagan to remain in contention.

Maziya head coach Risto Vidakovic said that his team were nervous against Bashundhara Kings, especially in the first half when they conceded an own goal by Mohamed Irufaan. Vidakovic added that they were facing a “very strong team” in ATK Mohun Bagan next but would look to put up a fight.
Antonio Lopez Habas, the ATK Mohun Bagan coach, said that his team will give “absolute respect” to the opponent. “We know how they played with other teams, but we have to see how they will perform against us, because maybe they might play differently,” Lopez said about Maziya.
