Think you’re France’s No. 1 fan at the Olympic Games Paris 2024? Think again!

Football star Antoine Griezmann is staking his claim as the nation’s biggest supporter, conducting his very own Tour de France across his homeland.

It appears the 33-year-old is making it his mission to attend as many events at the Games as possible, alongside his wife Erika Choperena, with the pair documenting their adventures on Instagram.

Griezmann was papped next to current French president Emmanuel Macron as the first gold of the Games for the host nation was won at the rugby sevens on Saturday, 27 July.

Sunday, 28 July began at the women’s gymnastics where he cheered on the French team during the qualification round and got to witness one of the sport’s greats, Simone Biles, in action.

That was swiftly followed by a trip to the aquatics centre where he joined plenty of other French fans in supporting swimming hopeful Leon Marchand.

The 22-year-old did not disappoint, setting a new Olympic record as he stormed to gold in the men’s 400m individual medley.

Griezmann and Erika continued their travels with a visit to Château de Versailles today (29 July), as a French trio picked up a silver medal in the equestrian team eventing.

It is no real surprise to see the Frenchman making his way around different disciplines, given he is known for his love of sports.

He has a particular affinity for the American ones, notably the NFL and the MLB. None more than the NBA, though, where he tries his hand at multiple fantasy leagues each year.

The question is – which event is next for the pair in Paris?
