On Wednesday August 7, the Champions Park of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was once again the center of attention. Set up to celebrate all the medal winners, it lived up to its reputation by offering magical moments in a picture-postcard setting, between the Eiffel Tower and Place du Trocadéro.
A magnificent parade. This Wednesday, August 7, the mood was once again upbeat at the Champions Park of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to welcome medal-winning heroes from all nations. In front of thousands of spectators who had flocked to the foot of the Eiffel Tower, several of the competition's top names celebrated their podium finishes.
On the podium at the Trocadéro were the French 3x3 basketball players, silver medallists after a remarkable campaign and narrowly beaten by the Netherlands in the final. Three-time Olympic champion Marie-José Pérec also graced the occasion on Wednesday.
Other international athletes included Australian swimmers, German triathletes, South African Tatjana Smith and Canadian Olympic hammer throw champion Camryn Rodgers. The evening concluded with a medal reallocation session for the American and Japanese figure skaters at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
