The 2024 U.S. Classic in Hartford, Connecticut, might need a red carpet.

The event, scheduled for 17-18 May, will be a star-studded affair and feature Olympic gymnastics all-around gold medallists Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee. The trio are part of a run of five-straight American winners in the event with Douglas, Biles and Lee having struck gold at London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, respectively.

It will be the first competition that features all three as Olympic all-around winners in the same field.

Previously, Lee and Biles and Lee and Douglas have competed in the same events after having had their Olympic triumphs. All three last took part in the same event at the 2016 U.S. championships, where only Douglas had already claimed the Olympic all-around crown.

At the 2016 U.S. nationals, Biles was the champion, Douglas finished fourth and Lee was 10th in the junior competition.

There will also be plenty of other stars to watch in Hartford, including two-time world all-around medallist Shilese Jones, Olympic floor exercise champion Jade Carey, and Olympic team silver medallist Jordan Chiles.

Others to keep an eye out for include World team champions Leanne Wong, the 2021 world all-around runner-up, Joscelyn Roberson and Skye Blakely.

2022 U.S. champion Konnor McClain will be making her first appearance in elite gymnastics since grabbing the national crown in August of 2022. Last month, she was an integral part of Louisiana State University’s first-ever NCAA team championship win.
