The US Open tennis champ is into the semi-finals of the Roland-Garros for the second time in her career.

Coco Gauff is into the 2024 French Open tennis semi-finals after a thrilling match against Ons Jabeur.

The reigning US Open women's singles champion came from behind against the Tunisian to reach the last four of the Roland-Garros for the second time in her career.

The American was the first competitor into the semis at the clay court grand slam, with Iga Świątek seeing off Markéta Vondroušová in straight sets (6-0, 6-2) soon after. Gauff and Swiatek will meet on Thursday to decide who reaches the final.

Gauff and Jabeur delivered a tense encounter in France, notable from the off with very little between the two.

But it would be the latter who eventually ran away with the first set, winning it 6-4.

The Tunisian put her unpredictable - and sometimes risky - moves on the court on display, notably delivering drop shots that the American struggled to deal with at times.

Gauff, though, is known to really hit the ground running when she is coming from behind, which is exactly what she did in the second set.

Taking it 6-2, the 20-year-old got back on level terms in Paris, at the venue which will host the Olympic tennis competition in July and August.

It showed a real swing in momentum, with Gauff moving to the brink of taking the third set after almost two hours of playing, leading 5-2 going into the final stretch.

A late push from Jabeur kept her in the fight, including pulling off a wonderful drop shot at the end of an epic rally to save match point.

But the young Gauff held her nerve and took the final set 6-3 to seal the match.

The semi-finals at Roland-Garros will take place on Thursday 6th June.
