The final five spots have already been awarded to the winners of the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualification Tournaments (FOPQTs) that ended on 20 August. Poland, Bahrain, Croatia, the Bahamas and Cameroon were the nations that qualified.

Cameroon beat Senegal (80-74) and will compete in the FOQTs for the first time since 2008. Bahamas, who beat the 2019 world finalists and Athens 2004 Olympic champions Argentina (82-75), will also be present.
