How do archers qualify for the World Cup Final?

The Archery World Cup is held in four stages in as many countries. These four stages determine the best eight archers (per gender) from each category who advance to the Archery World Cup Final.

Who are India's most decorated archers at the World Cup Final?

Deepika Kumari

World No.1 women's recurve archer, Deepika Kumari, will be vying for her first gold medal at the World Cup final in 2021. Kumari, however, has clinched five medals (four silver and one bronze) at the season-ending finale.

The three-time Olympian bagged individual silver medals at the World Cup Final in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 while her only bronze medal came in 2018.

The archer has, meanwhile, recorded seven appearances at the World Cup Final.

Dola Banerjee

2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG) bronze medallist, Dola Banerjee, recorded a single medal (gold) at the World Cup final.

The two-time Olympian clinched gold at the World Cup Final in 2007. She has qualified for the event twice.

Jayanta Talukdar

Jayanta Talukdar, one of the finest Indian archers, has recorded one medal (bronze) at the World Cup Final.

The Olympian clinched his only bronze medal at the World Cup Final in 2010. He has, however, recorded three appearances in the marquee event.

Abhishek Verma

2014 Asian Games silver medallist and India's premier compound archer Abhishek Verma has recorded two individual medals (one silver and a bronze) at the World Cup Final.

The Arjuna awardee won a silver medal at the 2015 World Cup Final while he bagged the bronze in 2018. Verma, incidentally, also clinched a silver medal with Jyothi Surekha Vennam in 2018.

He has made two appearances at the World Cup Final.
