Our venues will set the stage for Olympics and Paralympics magic, showcasing sports’ powerful ability to unite people from all backgrounds, and all walks of life. This is a moment for everyone to celebrate and be part of something bigger, together.
Games history will be made at 37 proposed venues across Host City Brisbane, several Co-Host Cities around Queensland, and joined by select venues in Melbourne and Sydney – two iconic Australian cities already etched into the Olympic record books.
With sustainability and economic responsibility at the core of how we deliver, the Brisbane 2032 Games will respond to today’s challenges. To achieve this, our goal is to primarily use existing sporting infrastructure with necessary upgrades to deliver a successful, exciting Olympic and Paralympic Games - and lasting improvements that will benefit the communities in which they stand for decades to come.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games Brisbane 2032 currently includes 37 proposed venues, set to host the 28 Olympic and 22 Paralympic sports.
In our plan, over 80% of venues are existing or temporary, reducing the Games' overall cost and environmental impacts, while minimising disturbances to our community in the lead up to 2032.
In order to deliver an incredible Games, new and upgraded facilities will be purpose-designed to ensure they meet local community needs first and foremost, before being converted into competition mode for the Games. While the Olympic and Paralympic Games will take over the venues for two weeks each, our community-first mindset will ensure all get the opportunity to enjoy the world-class facilities before – and long after – the Games, helping to foster a love and participation in sport for future generations of Queenslanders.
Three proposed newly-constructed villages will be the home away from home for Olympic and Paralympic athletes – where they’ll train, rest, recover and celebrate during the Games.
Additional Satellite Olympic Villages will be created to support Olympic Sports taking place in Co-Host destinations.
Essential to support Games participants, the villages will be designed to provide long-lasting accommodation benefits to their surrounding communities.
In the heart of the action of Brisbane City, the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Athlete Village will house athletes and team officials for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, as well as training facilities.
