Biography

Long-distance runner Xaver Höger placed 17th in the 1960 Rome 10K, after placing 12th at the 1958 European Championships. From 1954-60 Höger earned 20 international caps. In 1956 he was West German Champion in the cross country (7,500 m) and in 1959 in the 10K. He later owned a laundry. In 2014 he suddenly died at the age of 84 after a family celebration during a light meal.

Personal Best: 10000 – 29:19.0 (1960).
