Bill Marolt was a four-time NCAA Champion while skiing for the University of Colorado. After graduating he became the ski coach at Colorado, leading the Buffaloes to seven straight NCAA team titles, from 1972-78. He then left the university to coach the US ski team through the 1984 Winter Olympics, returning to the University of Colorado as athletic director. He served in that position for 12 years, and then left to become President of US Skiing in 1996. He is a member of the US Ski Hall of Fame and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
