Biography

Sprinter Ursula Knab won a silver medal with the sprint relay at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics together with Maria Sander, Helga Klein and Marga Petersen, and was eliminated in the semifinals of the 200. The German relay team had the same world record time as the winning US team. She never won any other title than the relay silver, for which she was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf the same year. She later married non-Olympian sprinter Heinrich Schlicksupp, and both of their sons Michael and Peter became sprinters and hurdle runners.

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.0 (1952); 200 – 25.0 (1952).
