Ubaa currently lives in Kenya and trains at the Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation Training Centre in Ngong Hills. Having started running in 2015, he recognizes that refugee athletes often struggle to find ways to compete at world-class level and thinks a refugee team is important so that others can learn from the example they set.
