Tamara Levinson competed in rhythmic gymnastics at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and the 1991 and 1993 World Championships. She was US Champion in all-around in both 1993 and 1994. At the 1995 Pan American Games, Levinson won gold medals in the team and ribbon events, a silver in all-around, and bronzes in rope, ball, and clubs. Levinson then competed at the Four Continents Championship, placing sixth in all-around and second with rope, after which she retired from competition.
Levinson then took her dance skills to the New York theatre, where she has been a member of the Antigravity dance troup, and served as a back-up dancer for many famous hip-hop musicians. She has danced with both Twyla Tharp and Madonna and in numerous off-Broadway hits. She later turned to choreographing for major artists and films.
