Biography

Canadian sculptor Sybil Kennedy is among the most important women sculptors in Canadian history. She studied at the Art Students League in New York, and later worked in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Canada and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Kennedy won the Huntington Prize in 1941 from the National Association of Women Artists, and the Amelia Peabody Prize in 1948.
