Biography

Rolf Kinzl competed in tennis at the 1908 Olympics, but was also known as a top footballer and cyclist. Kinzl won two German doubles titles, in 1903 and 1913, both times alongside Kurt von Wessely. Kinzl played one tie in Davis Cup for Austria in 1905, losing all three matches, and reached the third round of Wimbledon singles in 1907, also playing there in 1904, losing his first round matches in singles and doubles. He lost in the final of the 1898 Austrian singles championships.

In football Kinzl played centre-forward for DFC Praha. He also served as a referee occasionally. Kinzl was editor-in-chief of the sporting magazine Wiener Sporttagblatt.
