Biography

Norwood Hallowell won the AAU 1,500 in 1932 and the IC4A mile in 1931. He competed for Harvard after prepping at Milton Academy, and later spent time at Balliol College at Oxford. In World War II Hallowell was a member of the US Naval Reserve and was an executive officer on two ships. He later became an English teacher at Phillips Andover Academy in Massachusetts.

Personal Bests: 880y – 1:52.6 (1932); 1,500 – 3:52.7 (1932); Mile – 4:12.4i (1932).
