Biography

Hailing from a family of canoe slalom stars, Noemie Fox had huge expectations heading into her Olympic debut at Paris 2024.

Noemie exceeded those expectations by winning the gold medal in kayak cross, an event making its Olympic debut, adding another accolade to the Fox family legacy.

Noemie Fox was born on March 19, 1997, in Marseille, France. Her father Richard Fox was a world champion who represented Great Britain while her mother Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi, was an Olympic medallist for France at Atlanta 1996.

Noemie’s aunt Rachel Crossbee too was a World Championships medallist for Great Britain. The most noteworthy of all, her sister Jessica Fox is a three-time Olympic gold medallist.

Both Jessica and Noemie are coached by their mother Myriam.

Noemie took up paddling at a very young age and started competing professionally at 14. Her international debut came in 2013 when she won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships in Slovakia.

After winning a U23 World Championships medal for the first time in 2016, Noemie scaled up in 2017 to win a senior World Championships medal. In the following years, she became a prominent name at the world level, bagging medals at major events consistently.
