Biography

Nikolay Khlystov played his entire career from 1950-61 with one club, Krylya Sovetov Moskva winning one Soviet Championship with them in 1957. Internationally, besides his Olympic gold medal, Khlystov won World Championships in 1954 and 1956 and was second in 1955, 1957 and 1958, also winning European Championships in 1954-56 and 1958. After his playing career, Khlystov worked as a coach with the sports club Kryasny Oktyabr from 1961-64.
