Nicholas Mastromatteo competed in doubles luge at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympic. Mastromatteo graduated from UCLA with a degree in biology in 1958. When he competed at the 1964 Winter Olympics, he was a medical student at UCLA and later became a doctor, practicing internal medicine. A military veteran, Mastromatteo lived at the West Los Angeles Veterans Home later in life.
