Muna DAHOUK

Muna started judo in Damascus at the age of six with her sister under the guidance of their father, who was a judo teacher. Alongside her sporting success at a young age, she also graduated from a commercial and banking institute in Syria. She had to flee Syria in 2019 and joined her mother in the Netherlands. Having been selected in the IJF Refugee Team for the 2019 Budapest Grand Prix, she has since participated in a number of international competitions.

In Tokyo 2020, Muna competed as part of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team in the mixed team and -63kg events. She was also a member of the Refugee Olympic Team at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
