Biography

Maurice Frilot grew up in Denver and attended Annunciation High School. He was a corporal in the US Marines Corps at the time of the 1964 Olympics, where he lost his first bout by a unanimous decision. Frilot was a four-time Marine welterweight champion. He never boxed professionally. Frilot lived most of his life in Denver. His son was an All-State high school football player in Colorado, a lineman who later played at Harvard, earning All-Ivy honors. His daughter also graduated from Harvard in 1987.
