Biography

American painter Mary Wesselhoeft studied at the Boston Museum School and in Paris, although her parents were from Prussia. In Paris she met Gertrude Stein who influenced her. Wesselhoeft worked mainly with glass. The majority of her works were destroyed in World War I. They included watercolor landscape painting, graphics, illustration, crafts and stained glass windows.
