Biography

Maria was the second wife of Jean Jacoby. She was a native German and met him shortly after World War in Frankfurt, where he had emigrated from Strasbourg. She participated “hors concours” in the 1936 art competitions in the category painting, applied arts with her work Girl in Shot Put which was a wall hanging on silk for club rooms. She later immigrated to the United States after the death of her husband. There she re-married to become Maria Lamkin.
