Biography

Running for Penn, Lloyd Jones won the 880y at the 1908 IC4A Meet, which caused the Olympic selectors to place him on the Olympic team. Jones also ran the 800 at the 1908 Eastern Olympic Trials, where he placed third behind Mel Sheppard. Jones later became President of Federal Brass, a manufacturing firm. While on vacation to Bermuda, he died at sea of a heart attack.
