Biography

Keith Frostad was a distance freestyler who placed seventh in the 1,500 free at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Frostad was a six-time US Champion. He swam in college for the University of Miami. He retired after the 1992 Olympics, but in June 1995 he was brutally attacked by a gang of three skinheads outside of Boston’s Fenway Park. During his recovery he decided to return to swimming, and in 1996 he won the US title in the 800 freestyle, but was unable to make the 1996 Olympic team. Frostad worked in the financial world, starting in Boston with the Mellon Trust Company, and eventually became a derivatives manager with State Street in Long Beach, California.
