Konrad Srzednicki died only a few months before his 100th birthday. He studied at the School of Painting and Drawing in Warszawa and later taught in Kraków at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was mainly a printmaker (lithographs, wood, metal, and printing techniques) as well as a painter of landscapes and still lifes in Poland. His compositions, mainly in metal technology, were quite varied. Srzednicki often created idyllic, mystical scenes, often based on myths from the Mediterranean and the cultural heritage of the ancient world. Before World War II, he was a member of the Ryt - Association of Graphic Artists and, after the war, of the Group of 9 Graphic Artists. In 1966, he was awarded the prize of the First International Graphic Biennials in Krakow.
