Biography

Sprinter Klaus Thiele ran the 100, 200 and 400 metres. His greatest moment came when he claimed the silver medal with the 4x400 relay at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. At the 1978 Europeans Thiele retired in the second round of the 200. He appeared in seven international meets for East Germany. By profession he was a landscape architect.

Personal Best: 400 – 45.34 (1980).
