Inui “Ken” Tasaka was the son-in-law of famous printmaker and painter Ishii Hakutei who was also one of his teachers together with Ikuma Arishima and Shintaro Yamashita at the Kawabata Painting School. Tasaka took part in numerous exhibitions and published a number of books. He specialized in lithographic techniques and oil paintings. Tasaka mainly produced Japanese landscapes and was a member of the standing committee of the Ichisuikai Art Group.
