Biography

Kalevi Lehtovirta was a striker who started his club career playing for Turku Weikkoja in 1947. In 1951 he moved to Pyrkivä Turku, and he played for FC Red Star in Paris from 1953-57. Lehtovirta was capped 44 times for Finland from 1947-59. He later managed Turen Palloseura (TPS) in 1962 and Turku Tovereissa from 1963-65. While playing for Red Star Lehtovirta lived in Montmartre where he also worked as an artist.
