Biography

John MACREADY

John Macready competed in gymnastics at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, where he was the youngest member of the USA team. He was also on the USA team at the 1995 and 1997 World Championships. Macready came from an entertainment family, as his father was a producer/director, his mother was an actress, and his grandfather was the well-known actor, George Macready.

Macready attended both the University of Colorado and the University of Tennessee, studying media management and communications. He and Olympic teammate John Roethlisberger owned and operated FLIPFEST, a gymnastics camp on Lake Frances in Crossville, Tennessee. Macready also worked with the Make-a-Wish Foundation and hosted the annual John Macready March of Dimes Invitational.
